Hi, everybody,
This coming Monday, January 10, at 11 am Chicago time, Sander L. Gilman, PhD, Professor of Liberal Arts and Human Biology, here at our own University of Chicago, will present:
"Creating Beauty to Cure the Soul"
If you have an Internet connection and a Macintosh (or another computer with a sound card and a speaker), you should be able to listen in. Other options are video and "real time" text-based discussion during the presentation with other online participants (including myself).
New! this year are:
* Electronic discussion by email, to which the presenter will be invited, following each Grand Rounds.
* An archive of each Grand Rounds -- since not everyone who would like to is able to attend them when they are given.
More information, including how to get the *free* RealPlayer software that you'd need to listen in (no special software is needed to receive video or to discuss), is at:

Doc - Perhaps its just me....but the link on your home page seems dorked. Its gives me "HTTP 404 - File not found":

Hi, doc!I'm listening right now, but the sound is Very distorted, almost unlistenable. Great idea to webcast these, though!

Thanks for giving it a try. Sorry about the audio. We had a different AV person today, and he may have set me up differently.
Stay tuned (to the Grand Rounds home page) and try the archived version after it appears. Hopefully, that will be more clear.
