Why ON AD's feel WORSE and OFF AD's fell BETTER?

Posted by eve70 on March 14, 2002, at 9:08:36

Hi, i get a great dilemma!
I'm distymic (low mood, anergy, apatie...) in few words little chronic depressed.
I was on every kind of Ad (SSRI, Tca) in these passed two years, but every time i was on a ad i felt more aenergic, more aphatic, my mood went down....
So after months i stopped taking ad, and in few days i felt better....energic, more happy, more active and interessed.
Why could happend this?
What it means?
Oh..i forgot, the only ad that not had those effect on me was amisulpride...but i think i did not help me at all.
Help!!!! Thanks very much indeed!

Eve,

Some people think that AD's (particularly SSRI's) deplete dopamine levels over time. Click on the link to go to the post.
