Glorious Meds..
...Nothing quite like them for causing the dreads. To AD or not to AD that is the question.
Will Cymbalta..ring with sweet cymbals ?
Or will it clash in my little brain.

That was cute Slinky. I've heard a lot of good reports from others on cymbalta. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Fondly, Phillipa

Hello Slinky
Well I made the change to Trileptal on Saturday and am very pleased to say that it is by far a huge relief compared the Tegretol.
I noticed from the first dose that it was better. The effects are similar in some respects but it is far smoother on the mood, it doesnt hit me with drowsyness or make me over sleep like teg did. I dont feel as flat and feel more happy. Its not perfect but is so much of an improvement and far better than the Sodium Valproate, Lamotrigine and lithium that ive tried before.
If you still have problems with the teg I would highly recommend you try this stuff and would very much hope you gain the benefits I have found so far..
I hope the paroxetine withdrawal is going as good as can be expected and things are well.
Take care
Nick
Ps I have had one problem with the trileptal which is a pain in my back/kidneys which I have put a new post for, so that is the down side so far..

Hi Nick...
Has your doc arranged blood tests when starting the trepital or when you were on the tegretol...I think they just check the liver.
I'm not to good at pharmacology .
I hope your kidneys are healthy.
I will definately go for the Tripetil if I feel no improvement.I'm gaining weight even though I'm not eating much.
I feel hung over after my insominac surge quiting Paroxetine cold turkey -stupid I know but this state is way better than the depression.
Wow ..it's a strange world without the sedation/filter of an anti-depressant.
I expect I'll be a little hypomanic.All the best
Slinky

I was on Cymbalta for about 8 weeks, 30mg only.
It did help..... ironically. Since i thought this med was going to be crap like strattera all over again.
Somewhat activating, but not stimulating, i just noticed the sun more than the gloom.
I stopped it because of insomnia issues and it seemed to interfere.
Get sunny slinky
