I had a depo injection about a month back. I don't seem to have gained any weight (phew) but I have lost my desire for sex. I don't feel aroused at all and find amorous advances to be amusing. Sex seems rather silly when one is not in the mood...
It is not impacting on my relationship negatively, I just tickle him and laugh and slap him on the ass and turn it into a game but I am a bit concerned that I don't feel aroused at all - that is not typically a problem for me.
I know that loss of desire can be a side-affect of the injection, but I guess I am wondering whether psychological factors may be involved also. Has anyone had experience with this? Will my desire come back over time if I remain on the injection, or will I need to come off it? Not sure whether this post belongs here or on the meds board - but I guess I am not talking psych meds...

Beautiful strength of character to turn something possibly stressful into a game that he might even enjoy. I am sorry for what you are experiencing but must say that you are handling it with a wonderful maturity.
