My take on gender friction:
I've always liked the "Tarzan and Jane" model. She was in charge of the treehouse and taking care of "Boy", while Tarzan ran around the jungle saving the world and communicating with animals.
Everybody loved and adored each other. After a hard day's work, they would sometimes play a kind of word game which really amounted to Jane trying to teach Tarzan English.
This always resulted in the same thing. Tarzan would insist on the jungle equivalent (which always sounded like "hungowa"), Jane would laugh, and he would dive into a pool or swing away on a vine.
Sometimes when Tarzan hit the vines, Jane lovingly clung to him. At other times Jane would just watch adoringly while Tarzan was deep in thought. When he snapped out of it, they would laugh, dive into a pool together, or swing away on a vine.
Is good, no?

Hi ClearSkies, I thought I would tork a few people off with my Tarzan-Jane ideal. (I'm mischieveous that way)
Anyway, my daughter got married today and my son-in-law called me "Dad". He's a real nice guy, intelligent, well-read, but has low self-esteem. He sort of looks like Charlie Sheen. My daughter looks just like the actress in "Ten Things I Hate About You". (Julia Stiles)

After my movie star kids left, I had beer delivered. I was just too stressed waiting around half the day. They leave for their honeymoon tomorrow morning.
I gave them a decent digital camera, watch, and sewing machine among other things. We took a bunch of pictures. First time I've been photographed in about 8 years. (I hope this doesn't sour the deal I made with the Devil)
We also took photos of my first vegetable garden. But gardens are like dreams: everybody just pretends to be interested. I guess if you've seen one tomato plant...
Well, off to play texas holdem and maybe get myself blocked later.
